I myself have been in this hobby in some form or other for almost a decade, having been painting figures for gaming since I was just a wee lad.
My favorite games include Heroscope (although calling that a tabletop war-game is a touch of a stretch) and The Hobbit Strategy Battle Game, and I may venture into the Batman Miniatures Game and Bolt Action systems if time--and budget--ever allows.
